On a phone, the bishopric, the ward clerk and an organization's leaders get a bar along the bottom of the screen that takes them around 1stHour. It holds up to four tabs you choose, then More. The tabs are yours alone: changing them doesn't change anyone else's phone, and a computer keeps its sidebar.
1. Get around
For the bishopric and the clerk, the bar starts with Today, Program, Tasks (Assignments) and Appts (Appointments). An organization's bar starts with its own tabs (see an organization's bar).
- Tap a tab to open it. The tab stays lit on every page inside it.
- Tap More for everything else. Today, Assignments and Meetings come first when they aren't on your bar, and for the clerk To record (what still needs entering in LCR). Your other modules sit under Sunday, Members and Ward calendar, and Settings is last. Tap one to open it, or tap More again to close it.
- The bishopric also finds Paths in More, under Members. It opens People on the paths you walk with households, and you can pin it to your bar. It isn't in the sidebar on a computer.
- A number on a tab says something there is waiting on you. On Tasks it counts the ones you haven't opened yet, and on Appts the people waiting to be scheduled. On the other tabs it is the count their card shows on Today. A dot on More means something inside it has a count.
- To go back a step, tap the arrow at the top left. It takes you up one page. If another part of 1stHour opened this page, it takes you back there instead.
The bar hides while you type, and comes back when you finish.
On an Android phone with 1stHour on the home screen, press and hold its icon to jump straight to Today, This Sunday, Conduct or Bulletin. They are for the bishopric and the clerk; anyone else lands on their own home screen in 1stHour.
2. Choose your tabs
SettingsJust youBottom bar on your phone
- Tap More, then Edit bar. Or open Settings and choose Bottom bar on your phone.
- To take a tab off, tap the minus beside it. It moves down to In More.
- To add one, tap the plus beside it under In More. The bar holds four, so take one off first when it's full.
- To change the order, drag a tab by the dots on its left, or use its up and down arrows.
Each change saves right away, and the bar at the bottom shows it at once. Reset puts back the four tabs the bar started with.
Note
More always stays last. If a module is turned off for your ward, its tab leaves your bar, and it comes back when the module is turned back on.
3. An organization's bar
An organization's leaders (an org editor, or the ward mission leader) get the same bar with their own tabs. It starts with Tasks (your organization's Assignments), Bulletin, Activities and Signups. If one of those isn't turned on for your organization, the next one takes its place: Programs, Callings or Rhythms.
- Tap More for the rest, in the same groups as the sidebar on a computer: Programs and Bulletin under Sunday, Callings under Members, and Rhythms, Activities and Signups under Ward calendar. Ward page is last.
- A number on Tasks counts your organization's open assignments, and on Bulletin the answers you haven't read yet.
- To choose your tabs, tap More, then Edit bar, and follow the steps above. Reset puts back Tasks, Bulletin, Activities and Signups.
