Set when you're available
The windows you take appointments in, and the kinds you offer.
- Where
- Settings → Just you → When I’m available
- Time
- 5 min
1stHour offers a time only inside an interviewer's windows, such as Sunday from 8:00 to 9:00 AM before the block. His Google Calendar then takes out the times he is busy. Set the windows once; each interviewer has his own.
1. Add your windows
SettingsJust youWhen I’m available
- Under Windows I take appointments in, tap Add a window. It opens on the next day and hour that is free.
- Choose the Day, then set Starts and Ends.
- Give it a name under What to call it if you like, such as "Before the block".
- Under Where, type the room or pick one of the ward's saved places. It goes on each appointment's calendar event.
- Tap close. Each field saves when you leave it.
Add a window for each day and time you take appointments. Windows can't overlap. To remove one, tap edit beside it, then Remove this window.
Changing a window moves nothing that is already booked. It only changes the times offered from now on, here and on the sign-up page.
For someone else. The bishop and the executive secretary can set anyone's: open Settings → Appointments → Interviewers’ availability and choose under Whose availability. This is also where to set a counselor's windows before he signs in.
2. The gap and the limits
SettingsJust youWhen I’m available
On the same screen, under the windows:
- Gap between appointments
- None, 5 min, 10 min or 15 min, held after every appointment so two people aren't in the hall together. A time is offered only when the appointment and its gap both fit.
- Start times land on
- Where times can start, such as every quarter hour (:15).
- Most in one window
- How many appointments one window takes before it reads full, so a Sunday doesn't fill with back-to-backs.
Each saves as you pick it, and each is the interviewer's own. You can still bend the gap for one appointment when you book it: see when nothing fits.
Days you're away go in the blackout dates, which open from the same screen.
3. Appointment types
SettingsAppointmentsAppointment types
The types are the ward's, shared by everyone who schedules. Each has a default length and who takes it by default. Every ward starts with:
- Temple recommend, 15 minutes, the bishop
- Youth appointment, 20 minutes, a counselor
- Extend a call, 30 minutes, whoever is extending it
- Release conversation, 20 minutes, whoever is extending it
- Tithing declaration, 10 minutes, the bishop, marked December
- Ministering / general, 30 minutes, whoever schedules it
- Baptismal interview, 15 minutes, the bishop
To change one:
- Pick a new length in the box beside its name. It saves straight away.
- Tap its name to open it. Change the Name, or who takes it under Who takes it.
To add one, tap New type, type its name, pick its length and who takes it, then tap Create the type. You can also add one from the schedule sheet with New type.
Hide this type takes it out of the pickers. A type can't be deleted: appointments already of that type keep its name. Show it again brings it back.
The length is only a default. You can choose another on any one appointment.
